Educational Background:
Graduated from Sikeston Sr. High School in 1989 attended Southeast Missouri State University and Murray State University in Murray, KY for 2 years. Returned to Southeast in August 2007 and graduated December 2011 with a Bachelor of Science in Secondary Business/Marketing Education. My plan is to receive my Masters in Educational Technology within the next couple of years.
Teaching Experience:
Leopold is my first teaching job; my student teaching was completed at Delta High School and Jackson High School in the fall of 2011. I was a substitute at Jackson High School for a full semester before being hired here at Leopold. I enjoyed subbing at Jackson but I LOVE teaching at Leopold!

Homework:
I normally do not assign homework since the majority of my classes require computers and programs that are not required by students at home. Students are given class time to complete assignments and if they need additional time they are given times to come in before or after school to complete the assignment if they cannot take it home. Study guides are always given before tests and students are to utilize them and the time given outside of class to study before the test.
Family:
My husband Butch and I were married on May 20, 2000 and reside in Jackson, MO. Our daughter Ann Marie was born October 30, 2001 and our whole world was forever changed. Again our lives were changed on August 4, 2004 when our son Garrett was born. My husband, and two kids are my world and I enjoy spending all of my free time with them. Ann Marie is in the 7th grade at Jackson Middle School and Garrett is in 4th grade at West Lane Elementary.
My kids are involved in many sports and as a family we spend many hours traveling to their sporting events. Ann Marie plays soccer for Tony Glavin Southeast Heat traveling team and she also plays softball for the Punishers out of Perryville. She does catcher and batting training weekly. Garrett plays travel baseball for the Jackson Tribe and travel basketball for the Wolverines. He also does pitching and catching training along with hitting weekly.
Other Interests/Hobbies:
My interests are definitely my family and attending my kids sporting events and watching them play soccer, softball, baseball, and basketball. I love to watch St. Louis Cardinals baseball, Denver Broncos, Mizzou Tigers and Tennessee Volunteers football. Besides that there is not a lot of time for other hobbies but I do enjoy scrapbooking and crafting. I love Pinterest and finding new ideas for my classroom and my absolute favorite hobby in the world would be SHOPPING!
Memorable Events:
My wedding, the birth of my children, and graduating from college with my teaching degree are all classified as memorable events in my life.
